Welcome to my website. I live in the Pacific Northwest on a peninsula across Puget Sound from Seattle. I work in my studio poised above the Sound surrounded by amazing beauty and visiting wildlife. But much of my life is spent in fantasy land.
I have been making digital art for close to fifteen years and love creating with a computer. The images in my galleries are computer-generated. The characters, and sometimes the backgrounds begin in a 3D program called DAZ Studio. This program allows me to use characters that are created by someone else or to take a base character and change it. I can change the shape of the body and all its features, skin, hair, eyes, age, ethnicity, clothes, poses, lighting and camera angle. It’s like having a model and photo studio In a box.
But that’s just the beginning. After the images are rendered, I take them into Photoshop to tailor the piece to my vision. I use other software to continue to craft the piece I had in mind, including Topaz Labs plug-ins, Dynamic Auto Painter, Corel Painter, CorelDraw, Studio Artist 5 and others. I also use my own photographs and additional digital media.
In addition, I work in fiber. Quilts, felted wall hangings, computerized machine embroidery, thread, yarn, and paper help me to explore the natural world and work with the tactile. It’s a great to have multiple outlets for expression. I hope you enjoy my site. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by email.
